Terms and conditions for guests booking cultural experiences on Oorva

Oorva Guest Policy

By booking a cultural experience on Oorva, you agree to the following terms. These ensure a fair and safe experience for both guests and hosts.

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • Bookings are confirmed only after payment is completed through the Oorva platform
  • Guests must review all details (time, location, inclusions) before confirming
  • All experience details will be provided via email confirmation and in-app notifications

2. Cancellation & Refunds

Guest Cancellations

  • 48+ hours before experience → 75% refund
  • 24–48 hours before experience → 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours → No refund

Host Cancellations

  • Guests will receive a full refund
  • Oorva may assist in rebooking with another host
  • Alternative experiences will be offered when possible

3. Payments

  • All payments must be made via the Oorva platform
  • No direct/offline payments are permitted
  • Prices are inclusive of all charges mentioned in the listing
  • Payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) through secure gateways
  • Refunds will be processed within 7-14 working days to the original payment method

4. Code of Conduct

  • Guests must arrive on time and follow host instructions
  • Respect towards hosts, fellow guests, and local culture is mandatory
  • Offensive behavior, discrimination, or harassment will not be tolerated
  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, unless otherwise specified
  • Photography restrictions must be respected if specified by the host

5. Safety & Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for their own conduct during the experience
  • Hosts will provide a safe environment, but guests must follow all safety guidelines
  • Oorva is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damages beyond the scope of the experience
  • Guests should inform hosts of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions before the experience

6. Experience Guidelines

  • Arrive at the specified location 15 minutes early
  • Bring any required items mentioned in the experience description
  • Inform the host immediately if you're running late
  • Follow cultural etiquette and dress codes as specified
  • Ask questions and engage respectfully with the cultural experience

7. Disputes & Support

  • Any concerns must be reported to Oorva within 24 hours of the experience
  • Refunds or resolutions will be handled after review by Oorva
  • Oorva's decision will be final in case of disputes
  • Support is available via email at hello@oorva.com or through the in-app chat

8. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Guest contact information may be shared with hosts for experience coordination
  • Personal data will be handled as per Oorva's Privacy Policy
  • Guests can request account deletion with 15 business days processing time
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu
  • Terms may be updated periodically with notification to users
