Hi there 👋 Welcome to Oorva Private Limited ("Oorva", "we", "our", or "us").
We're thrilled you're here! Before you start exploring unique cultural experiences with our Hosts, please take a few minutes to read these Terms.
We've kept them simple, transparent, and fair — so you know exactly what to expect as a Guest (the one experiencing) or Host (the one offering experiences).
1. What We Do
- Oorva is a platform that connects Guests with Hosts who offer cultural experiences.
- We don't run or own the experiences ourselves. The Hosts design, organize, and deliver them.
- Our job is to make discovering and booking experiences smooth, safe, and delightful.
2. Your Account
- To book or host, you'll need an account. We'll ask for your name, email, and mobile number.
- Keep your login safe — you're responsible for everything under your account.
- If you spot suspicious activity, let us know immediately.
3. Your Privacy
- We only ask for what we need: your email, mobile number, and account details.
- Sometimes we'll share this with Hosts or trusted partners so your experience goes smoothly (e.g., a Host may need your phone number to coordinate your visit).
- We never sell your data to random advertisers.
- Want to leave? You can request to delete your account anytime. We'll permanently remove your data within 15 business days.
4. Our Role & Limitations
- Oorva is just the connector between Guests and Hosts.
- This means:
- We don't guarantee how an experience will turn out (though we encourage Hosts to do their best).
- We aren't responsible for cancellations, accidents, or disputes — those are between the Host and the Guest.
- But we're always here to support if something goes wrong.
5. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations
- All payments on Oorva are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) through secure third-party payment gateways.
- We do not store your credit/debit card or banking details.
- Refunds and cancellations follow the Host's cancellation policy. We'll always show you the policy before you book.
- If a refund is approved, it will be sent back to your original payment method within 7–14 working days, depending on the payment gateway's timelines.
- In case of disputes or chargebacks, Guests should first contact the Host. If unresolved, Oorva can step in to mediate, but we hold no financial liability.
- Hosts are responsible for ensuring they comply with applicable taxes and regulations (such as GST, where relevant).
6. Community Guidelines
We're building a community of explorers and storytellers. To keep it positive:
- Guests: Respect the Host, their culture, and their space.
- Hosts: Be transparent about what you offer and deliver what you promise.
- Everyone: No fraud, impersonation, or harmful content. Let's keep this safe and welcoming.
7. Content & Ownership
- The Oorva platform, design, and branding belong to us.
- Hosts, your experiences and photos are yours — but by sharing them here, you give us permission to showcase them so Guests can find you.
8. Liability
- We'll always try to make your journey with us wonderful.
- But — Oorva can't be held responsible for things that happen during an experience itself.
- We're not liable for damages, accidents, losses, or unexpected hiccups during a Host's experience.
9. Closing Accounts
- Break the rules? We may suspend or close your account.
- Want to leave? Just ask us — we'll close your account and delete your data within 15 business days.
10. Legal Stuff
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
11. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we'll post them here. Using Oorva after changes means you're okay with the new version.
